Bored one day in Germany, I took myself to the underground to test out my newly discovered HDR technique. I love the symmetry of these kind of places and this was one of my first ever processed HDR images. Although taken a long time ago, after a little re-touch I still enjoy to this day.
My eye, for some reason, always goes back to the lady sitting in the train staring out the window with the bored look upon her face. She maybe will never know me and probably has zero recollection of this moment, yet for me this moment lives on strong n my mind.

I really enjoyed the light range that could be captured over many exposures. Coming from a place rich in nature these locations and particularly the hustle and bustle in the underground reminds me that you can win the rat race, but your still a dirty rat. and id like to think that we’re better than that. This is a self portrait in one the the quieter times.

Golden escalator.
